iPhoneDevCamp2 Event Coverage
The second annual iPhoneDevCamp event begins Friday, August 1st at Adobe Systems in downtown San Francisco.
While the event is at compacity, there are 7 confirmed satellite events which will provide live audio, video and chat feeds of the event. We’ll be providing live updates throughout the event on this website as well, so stop by often for the latest news and information.

Sunday 5 PM - Spent the afternoon networking and finishing our demo using the WAn framework and WordPress. Hackathon contest presentations are underway, check out the iPhoneDevCamp page at iusethis
to see all the entries. Next up, the award ceremonies. Some notable web apps we saw were iMusicMash, iMovieMash and record a call. Great event! Thanks again to Raven, Dominic, Chris and all the sponsors and participants.
Saturday 7:10 PM - IUI walkthrough, demos and open discusssion on usage of the iUI framework. Relaxed technical discussion of the capabilities and usage of the framework. Al Nevarz presents iMusicMash and iMovieMash walkthroughs. Following the iUI presentation there’s supposed to be a SproutCore demo.
Saturday 6:10 PM - Pizza for 500 just showed up for around 300 Developers. More from the iUI presentation shortly.
Saturday 4:40 PM - We’ve been working on a small web project integrating WordPress with the WAn framework and several custom components. The schedule of speakers is pushed back due to a power issue, but we’ll post some info from the iUI session.
Saturday 2:30 PM - Lots of development going on. iPhone Microsites will be featured on an upcoming episode of Sam Levin’s myMac.com podcast, Cool Mac Picks.
Saturday 1:30 PM - Device Anywhere demo’s real-time interaction with an iPhone connected to a live network. I’ve also spent a few minutes talking with the Media Temple folks that built the iPhone-optimized account center. There will be some interesting game apps shown at the hackathon tomorrow.
Saturday 10:30 AM - Keynote with Merlin Mann is about to begin. Check out the event live on Adobe Connect. Lots of demo’s scheduled for later in the day, including an iUI presentation.

Friday 8:25 PM- The event is officially underway. There are 60+ sponsors this year and over 500 attendees in SF alone. In compliance with the iPhone SDK, the event will focus on publicly available knowledge. Hackathon schedule and details announced. iPhoneDevCamp broadcasts in 8 separate locations, including India. Thanks to the iPhoneDevCamp team for their hard work, Adobe for providing the venue for the second year in a row and Sam Levin who hooked us up with some great promo schwag. Tomorrow, we’ll be recording some interviews and material for an upcoming podcast, it’s going to be a great event! More to come.

Friday 6:45 PM - We’re in! The introductions begin at 7, everyone’s just mingling and enjoying the free food and giveaways at the moment. Ad Hoc demos begin at 7:30.

Friday 4 PM - Microsite Makeover Contest Announced Postponed. We’re heading over to the venue shortly. More to come.
